The Competence Assessment Service (CAS) is provided by a consortium of Central Queensland University and Central Queensland Institute of TAFE on behalf of Council. CAS is a clinically orientated and valid mechanism for assessing nursing and midwifery knowledge and competence. This single service provider ensures reliable and consistent assessment of applicants required to demonstrate competence for practice in Queensland.
The Test is held on the second Wednesday of every month and all efforts will be made to ensure that you can take the test as close as possible to your town of residence. The examination has a strict 90 minute limit with 10 minutes perusal time prior to the commencement of the test.
